I got interested in software while I was still in compulsory education, started writing code then, and never really stopped. At work I build everything from B2B client software to SaaS.

How I got here

I started by taking things apart to find out why they worked, and never really stopped. After university I joined a software company listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, where I've worked on products with very different characters in turn — from B2B client software through to SaaS. That gave me both sides: the fine detail of desktop applications, and the design and operation of web services. I try not to stay inside one language or one layer; I reach for whatever the job needs, make it work, and want to be able to explain why it works. What's here is what I've built outside that work, and the notes left over from building it.
